Welcome at virtual reality.
[ zerone ] cgi create images of products that don't exist (yet). Sounds simple, yet isn't. But CGI makes a lot of things easier. Computer Generated Imagery can cut time schedules, save money, and spare nerves.Images still play a central role in marketing products. Customers must see what they are supposed to want - and buy. That's why conventionally you have a photo shoot with the actual product or at least a prototype. And that was that. Until now: Shorter product life cycles mean there is less time to develop and launch a product. Everyone involved has to start working simultaneously early on. Here, we at [ zerone ] cgi can help.
Here you'll find out, why this should be so (more...)
Reality is really different.
As nearly every product today originates from a 3D design generated by computer, we can apply the available data (e.g. CATIA or Unigraphics) at a very early stage to create synthetic images which no longer differ from real images at all. Not even on second sight.
Cgi saves a) time and b) money. Resources need no longer to be set aside for constructing and transporting dummies for photo shoots, say in the car industry. And c) it is easy on the nerves: in these days of shameless intellectual property theft, products are best protected against piracy before market introduction by not appearing at all in public - where there is no absolute guarantee of confidentiality, not even for a lot of money.
The application of CGI makes sense not just for the car industry: Please find further examples of other design-related products in our gallery...
So much about the practical use of CGI. Look how CGI works technically here...
